Responsibilities

A Salesforce  Solution Architect is responsible for defining the architectural strategy for various Salesforce Cloud platforms  and integration initiatives, playing a pivotal role in providing program level technical expertise to our various engineering pods/teams. Their primary focus will be on integration and complex Salesforce customizations to ensure seamless operations and optimal utilization of the Salesforce platform. They collaborate closely with business and program stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient high-level solutions.
They possess deep technical knowledge and solutioning expertise in one or more of the Salesforce Cloud Platforms like Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud or Data Cloud and are vital in designing robust, high-performing, and scalable solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Define the architectural strategy for one or more Salesforce Cloud Platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.Collaborate with program teams to understand their business requirements, identify technical challenges, and provide strategic solutions leveraging Salesforce capabilities.Lead the design aspects of a Salesforce.com implementation including, but not limited to, gathering technical requirements, designing future state solutions (including key architecture artifacts), developing models related the product scope, supporting testing and providing post-implementation supportDesign scalable, high-performance, and integrated Salesforce solutions that meet program objectives, considering factors such as security, data integrity, and user experience.Lead development teams, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight throughout the development lifecycle. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other systems and applications, ensuring adequate data flow, interoperability, and alignment with program requirements. Define and implement integration strategies, API management, and data mapping.Lead teams in the customization and configuration efforts within the Salesforce platform, including but not limited to code, custom objects, fields, workflow rules, process builders, validation rules, and user interface customization.Analyze and optimize the performance of our Salesforce instance, including identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, improving data loading times, and enhancing overall system efficiency.Create and maintain technical documentation, including but not limited to solution designs, technical designs, data models, process flows, and integration specifications. Establish and enforce Salesforce best practices and governance standards across program teams.Ensure end-to-end solution integrity, including integrations with other tools in the system landscape (e.g., legacy systems and 3rd party software)Identify, communicate and proactively manage risk areas associated with solution design, track short term trade-offs, plan for remediation of technical debt and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolutionAssess new tools and software, assemble POCs, and offer recommendations to optimize the enterprise Salesforce.com landscapePresent and vet solution designs with the Salesforce.com architecture team as well as the enterprise review boardScope work required for expanding the use and functionality of Salesforce.comStay current on Salesforce.com releases, new features and product roadmaps and work with Salesforce.com success managers to ensure our enterprise Salesforce.com org is taking advantage of the latest enhancements and standardsBe a team leader by fostering an atmosphere of trust, facilitating issue resolution between team members, seeking diverse views to encourage product improvement and innovation and keeping everyone on the team productive and highly motivatedServe as a technical mentor and provide guidance to team members, assisting them in understanding the best practices, technical feasibility, limitations of the Salesforce platform and guide them in their Salesforce.com growth journey

The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. 

Collaboration with multiple cross-functional team members and stakeholders, which requires excellent communication skills.

Collaboration with delivery management organization to meet project timelines while balancing multiple competing priorities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

5+ years implementing Salesforce.com based solutions3+ years designing Salesforce.com based solutions in an enterprise environmentExtensive experience in integrating Salesforce with other systems and applications using web services, APIs, ETL tools, middleware, or custom code.Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices related to coding, integrations, security, data modeling, data management, and user interface design.Proven ability to design and implement complex Salesforce solutions, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.2 year of leadership or management experience preferred3-4 years of experience with Apex and/or Lightning Web Components preferred1-2 years of experience integrating Salesforce.com Core/Health Cloud, Data cloud and Marketing Cloud preferred

 

Education:

High school diploma/GED with 5 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferredSalesforce Domain Architect certifications (System Architect and/or Application Architect) or a combination of Salesforce Architect Specializations certifications (Data Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, etc.) preferred.

High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
