Purpose: Drive category growth and franchise health through consistent and consolidated pre-season planning and in season management across channels and key product franchises.
Key Accountabilities:
§ Lead dynamic game plans that support current & long-term business ambition. Support pre-season go-to-market milestones in collaboration with channel planning teams, while driving planning-led initiatives across channels (wholesale channels, retail, ecom)
§ Facilitation and collaboration of consolidated future year strategic plans across Commercial Teams at a category level.
§ Align plans across cross functional brand and commercial teams
§ Prepare reporting and analysis to support pre-season business reviews of commercial category plans.
§ Prepare regular reports for Commercial Management, Finance and Marketing to provide detailed overview of business performance by channel/account
§ Identify opportunities and risks in the business in-season against plan and provides actionable recommendations to improve results.
§ Analyze and provide insights on channel performance. Facilitates internal business review to hindsight brand performance
§ Develop and support commercial planning alignment processes including communication, timelines, roles and responsibilities
§ Support the greater planning organization with tools, processes and participating in planning projects to improve our approach
§ Build positive working relationships with cross functional partners
§ Drive the development of new and automated reporting to create efficiencies, provide review of business and facilitate strategic action
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
§ Strong understanding of retail math and interpreting sell through data to recommend changes that positively impacts the business.
§ Experience and understanding of developing consumer, retail and competitor trends.
§ Ability to build, plan and flow product assortments based on current trends that can address both targeted objectives and channel-specific needs while maximizing sales, margin and inventory turn.
§ Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment. Ability to provide in-season recommendations that will further account and adidas performance.
§ Ability to think cross functionally and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment § Strong prioritization skills, the ability to be detail oriented and accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines
§ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, sales representatives, peers, clients, and customers.
§ Strong Excel skills, including pivots, X/V-Lookups, complex formula building a plus.
Qualifications:
§ Four-year degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field
§ Minimum four years’ experience in planning/buying or related field
§ Industry specific experience preferred
§ Advanced excel skills required
