The Senior Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The Senior Sales Manager is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to group clients, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicitations and generates impactful business.
Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and delivers exceptional customer service. The Senior Sales Manager will also participate and may lead sales meetings and other staff events. The Senior Sales Manager also works as a team member within the sales and event team and is in close contact with other sellers as well as members of other Departments.
Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business. This role may take on leadership functions and assists the Director of Sales & Marketing with projects as well as mentors other sales team members.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Solicit, negotiate, and manage Local and National accounts.
+ Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow share, ADR, and overall sales production.
+ Utilize internal and external systems to monitor, track, solicit accounts and increase share.
+ Conduct regular account reviews, travel to client offices, and host on‑property client events.
+ Deliver exceptional customer service to both meeting planners, stakeholders and attendees.
+ Develop targeted promotions and value‑add packages to drive off-season demand.
**General Sales & Administrative Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and quarterly business reviews.
+ Maintain organized documentation, reports, and account notes within CRM and Hyatt systems.
+ Collaborate closely with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of guest and partner expectations.
+ Participate in and occasionally lead sales meetings, event meetings, and cross‑departmental initiatives.
+ Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and client activations.
+ Assists the Director of Sales & Marketing with projects as well as mentors other sales team members.
**Compensation**
The anticipated annual compensation range is $83,600 - $125,500. The wage offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.

+ Refined verbal and written communication skills.
+ 3 - 5 years of hotel sales experience preferred, ideally with exposure to group clients in New York City or another Tier 1 market.
+ Strong selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
+ Ability to work independently with confidence.
+ Flexible schedule, with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed as well as occasional business travel.
+ Familiarity with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance. **Valued Extras**
