We are looking for Senior Sales Manager – Rail Signalling
The Senior Sales Manager – Rail Signalling is responsible for driving sales growth and business development for signalling solutions in the rail industry. This role involves managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive proposals and win new contracts. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of signalling systems (ETCS, CBTC, interlocking, etc.) and a proven track record in B2B sales within the transportation or infrastructure sector. The candidate will drive strategic sales, foster client relationships, and help position our company as a trusted leader in rail signalling and telecommunication systems.
You’ll make a difference by
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for signalling systems in line with business goals. Manage the full sales cycle – from opportunity identification, proposal development, and client negotiations to contract closure. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including railway authorities, OEMs, EPC contractors, and consultants. Work closely with technical, engineering, tendering, and legal teams to develop compelling and competitive bids. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the rail signalling space. Participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to promote the company’s capabilities and expand the network. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to leadership. Ensure compliance with commercial and contractual obligations during the sales process. Mentor and support junior team membersDesired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field. MBA is a plus. 10+ years of of proven experience in sales of railway signalling, CBTC or telecom systems. Understanding of signalling technologies (e.g., ETCS, CBTC, interlocking systems). Proven track record of closing significant (high-value) signaling contracts and managing long sales cycles. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence decision-makers. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Prior experience with OEMs or system integrators in the rail signalling industry.
