Senior Sales Director – Defense Engines
Job Description SummaryAs a member of the Americas Business Capture team, the Senior Sales Director supports the functional area of sales and business development for GE Aerospace’s defense engines business segment.

In this role, you will identify growth opportunities and will lead sales campaigns to capture new original equipment and services business. The Senior Sales Director will also serve as a product sales expert as needed. In addition to domestic markets, this role will have some international and Foreign Military Sales exposure. Seeking those with a sufficient technical background and strong communication skills to confidently represent Defense products and services to government, armed forces and aircraft OEM customers.

**Note-
Preferred location is at a GE Aerospace facility in Cincinnati, OH or Lynn, MA. Will also consider exceptionally qualified remote candidates in the United States.

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct major cross functional campaigns and pursuits for defense engine programsIdentify, qualify and develop new business opportunities driving growthRepresent military engine and systems product lines to position our products and services successfully in the military marketBuild influential relationships with customers at all levelsEstablish detailed customer contact plans to position our products and services successfullyDevelop and execute opportunity pursuit / capture plansManage the development of numerous, complex, multi-million-dollar proposal effortsLead or support negotiations as needed to close dealsManage CRM systems tracking pursuits and opportunitiesProvide commercial and technical expertise within the defense engine market segmentSupport division input for operating planning and forecastingAssist in the development and execution of an overall growth strategy for military engine and systems products/services

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or collegeA minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace / defense industry business development, sales, marketing, commercial operations or program / account managementAbility to travel 25%-50% as needed to meet job requirements

Desired Characteristics

Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fieldPrior experience with aircraft engines or aircraft mission/vehicle subsystems would be beneficialPrior sales experience in leading aerospace/defense OEM pursuitsPrior experience managing proposalsPrior experience working with aircraft servicesStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong influencing and relationship building skillsSound people management and decision-making skillsStrong customer focus and results-oriented mindset

This position may be eligible for the following flexible work arrangements (FWA):

Remote Work

The base pay range for this position is 152,000.00 - 203,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
