Senior Sales and Event Manager - Hilton Vancouver Washington
The beautiful Hilton Vancouver Washington, a Hilton corporate managed hotel, is seeking a dynamic and results\-driven Senior Sales and Event Manager to join our team\. This role is responsible for managing the booking of group business across all market segments, handling groups with 10–35 rooms on peak, as well as securing and coordinating wedding room blocks\. The ideal candidate will actively solicit new business, cultivate strong client relationships, and collaborate cross\-functionally to ensure seamless and successful event execution\. **What are we looking for** + 2 years of sales, catering, and/or events experience within a full\-service hotel + Working knowledge of Delphi is highly preferred + Flexible scheduling based onsite events **Hourly Range:** $35 per/hour \- $39 per/hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location\. **What will I be doing?** As a Senior Sales and Event Manager, you will be responsible for securing groups and conventions by building strong relationships and delivering strategic sales results\. This position will also be detailing out their groups for the banquets team's execution\. The sales office in a hotel is a fast\-paced, ever\-changing environment and is a true launching pad for those who aspire to grow their careers in hospitality\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: + Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams, to meet and exceed lead generation goals\. + Represent the hotel in the development of market segment\(s\) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts\. Consistently strives to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams\. + Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends, and implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals\. + To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals\. + Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person\. + Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations\. + This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills\. The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and then apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate, and secure new revenue for the hotel\. + Customer and Account Management \- Apply strong sales skills to create customer value\.
