The **Senior Safety Specialist** is responsible to administer or oversee the respiratory protection program and conduct the required evaluations of program effectiveness.
**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:**
+ Bachelor's degree with 3 years of safety experience.
+ Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of TJC's Environment of Care and Life safety standards and requirements.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulations pertaining to safety and fire safety; ability to identify and evaluate hazard and risks and make effective recommendations based upon comprehensive, regulatory compliant assessments.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials; ability to supervise and coordinate the work of others.
+ Ability to conduct team member injury investigations.
**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:**
+ OSHA Hazwopper - 40 hour training.
+ Knowledgeable of OSHA.1910.134 and other sections of 29 CFR 1910.
+ Knowledge of EPA and local NJDEP requirements.
+ Public speaking and training experience.
+ Performance and project management skills preferred.
**Licenses and Certifications Preferred:**
+ Certified Health Safety Professional or Certified Health Fire Safety Professional.
