Airswift is partnering with a major Energy Company on an exciting opportunity for a Safety Engineer in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
You will support and lead a range of safety projects within high-hazard industries, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Low Carbon energy, contributing to the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safety engineering projects with technical excellence
Conduct safety assessments (e.g., consequence analysis, QRA, FSA, COMAH/Safety Case compliance)
Write and review technical reports
Mentor and lead junior engineers
Prepare proposals and cost estimations for new scopes
Engage directly with clients and help build strong relationships
Contribute to business growth and continuous improvement
Perform additional duties as reasonably required by the organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
Degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline
Chartered status (or close to obtaining it)
Strong experience in Process/Technical Safety within the energy sector
Proficiency in risk and safety management, QRA, and consequence analysis (PHAST preferred)
Solid knowledge of COMAH, Safety Case Regulations, and other relevant standards
Proven ability to lead scopes, manage budgets, and meet deadlines
Strong technical writing and peer-review skills
Experience contributing to winning proposals
