Develop and implement control algorithms for custom surgical robots, end-effectors, medical instruments, and other electro-mechanical subsystems. Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems. Perform modeling, analysis, and controls development for the system and/or subsystems. Work with clinicians and engineers to define and verify robotics and control engineering requirements. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information. Work in cross functional teams to accomplish system integration and perform engineering verification. Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs. Design test control apparatus or equipment or develop procedures for testing products. **Requirements:** Employer will accept a Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Position requires university coursework, internship, thesis, or research project in Robotics; Micro and Nano Electromechanical Systems; Biotechnology; Stochastic Processes with Engineering Applications; Robot Perception and Decision-Making; C /C++; Python programming; Robotics principles (kinematics, dynamics and robotic control); Real-time software; and Controls theory.
