Senior Roadway Engineer

Job Title: Roadway Engineer (Licensed PE)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (On-site with flexible hybrid options)
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer with 15 years of proven expertise to join our growing transportation team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in PennDOT and PA Turnpike roadway projects, looking to take on both technical leadership and project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead roadway design, modeling, and plan development for major PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects.

Prepare and oversee roadway plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Ensure compliance with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and AASHTO design standards.

Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and agencies to deliver high-quality, cost-effective transportation solutions.

Provide technical mentorship to junior staff (EITs and younger engineers).

Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communication.

Qualifications:

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania (required).

15 years of roadway engineering experience with emphasis on PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects.

Proficiency in roadway design/modeling software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.).

Demonstrated success in managing roadway projects from planning through delivery.

Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
