Senior Retail Risk Analyst – Auto SME & Unsecured Portfolios

We are now looking for two Senior Retail Risk Analysts to strengthen our Retail Risk team in Norway, covering: Auto SME portfolios, and Unsecured retail portfolios.
Both positions are based in Lysaker, Norway, with close collaboration across the Nordic countries.
About the role
As a Senior Retail Risk Analyst, you will play an important role in defining and executing the credit risk approach for your assigned portfolio. You will support strategic decision-making by combining deep portfolio insight with forward-looking risk assessments, while working closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
The role spans portfolio risk responsibility, advanced analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, with a clear focus on strengthening underwriting quality, portfolio performance, and long-term risk outcomes. You will be part of a Nordic risk organization with strong analytical capabilities and high standards for quality and impact.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking end-to-end risk responsibility for selected retail portfolios (Auto SME or Unsecured) throughout their lifecycle
Providing clear, actionable risk insights and recommendations to management and key stakeholders
Supporting the development and maintenance of underwriting standards, credit policies, and risk appetite through data-driven analysis
Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying emerging risks, structural shifts, and early warning signals
Identifying and explaining key credit risk drivers and their impact on PD, LGD, EAD, capital consumption (RWAs), and profitability
Supporting forecasting activities and forward-looking risk assessments across different credit cycle scenarios
Working closely with Underwriting, Commercial, and Product teams as a senior risk counterpart
Contributing to scorecard development, model enhancements, and other risk-related initiatives
Strengthening data quality and developing automated reporting to support scalable and effective risk monitoring
Your profile
We are looking for professionals who bring:
3+ years of relevant experience within credit risk, analytics, underwriting, or portfolio management
Strong academic background in Finance, Risk, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Advanced analytical skills with strong hands-on experience in Excel and SQL, as well as SAS, R, or Python
Solid understanding of retail credit risk principles; experience with SME or unsecured portfolios is an advantage
Experience with risk models, scorecards, or data infrastructure is an advantage
Fluency in English; Nordic language skills are an asset
Valid work permit
