Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case. **Summary:** The Senior Research Data Analyst is responsible for collecting data, quality control of the databases, statistical analysis of data, dissemination of data, and quality improvement. This role is responsible for providing high-level oversight to the design, buildout and maintenance of data management systems within the program’s research portfolio. The Sr. Research Data Analyst will analyze and develop electronic data collection tools, website maintenance, and provide reporting and participant monitoring to funding bodies, when applicable. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. **Required Job Qualifications:** • Master’s Degree in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or similar field. • Three years related work experience. • Experienced in understanding of concepts in methodology, data collection, and analyses. • Proficient with scientific writing. • Data management experience. Expertise in database rules, writing queries, and relational database creation and management (create, query, relate). • Unique combinations of both hard and soft skills to prepare, analyze, and present data. • Expertise in writing queries and stored procedures on large data sets with complex data models. • Proficient in the use of statistical software and techniques in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Expert computer skills including query tools, web-based applications, word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, PowerPoint, and database management. • Ability to manage multiple large and multi-site projects. • Ability to work independently and in groups. • Ability to oversee others. • Ability to prioritize time. • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. • Advanced ability to create summary reports using statistical tools, charts, and graphs. **Preferred Job Qualifications:** • Work experience in similar research field. **Responsibilities:** • Provides real time data analysis that relates to establishing and meeting data quality objectives. • When applicable, write SQL queries to extract data from electronic data sources for quality and operations reporting purposes. • Develops data storage and access methods and policies to provide maximum efficiency. • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the program’s current internal research studies. • Prepares complex quality analyses utilizing benchmark data from several sources as appropriate. • Analyzes, identifies and compiles data from multiple sources to produce and distribute reports to support the QI process. • Oversees the creation, buildout, and distribution of study reports across multiple platforms (including but not limited to Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, and Tableau). • Assists in the development of department-wide qualitative metrics to support the quality improvement plan. • Acts as data analyst with other multidisciplinary teams in the evaluation of quality outcomes. May participate in all phases: design, planning, preparation, electronic data abstraction, report development, and presentation. • Develop and implement data management plans for new research grant proposals with collaboration of faculty investigators. • Provide guidance and oversight for the implementation of new technologies associated with projects within the unit or program. • When applicable, monitor participants across all phases of the clinical trial. • Maintains the confidentiality of all internal correspondence as well as with external entities.
