Senior Regulatory Specialist - electricity regulation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Engineering, Economics or Energy Studies as recognized by SAQA Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Economics or Energy Studies will be an advantage A qualification in Regulatory or Energy Economics, Market Regulation, or Project Management will be an added advantage Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in electricity regulation, energy sector planning, or utility management Proven experience in developing and implementing regulatory frameworks, tariff methodologies, or market rules Experience working in or with a regulatory authority, government department, or energy utility Demonstrated understanding of market liberalisation, competition regulation, and energy transition policies Track record of engagement with international regulatory bodies or participation in global energy regulatory initiatives is desirable Deep knowledge of the Electricity Regulation Act and energy policy frameworks.
