The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has an exciting opportunity for aRegistered Nurse Senior (RN)with the Bureau of Clinical and Quality Management (BCQM) in the Division of Medicaid. We are seeking an individual who is driven to make an impact to our participant’s lives. The Nurse, Registered Senior position works closely with our Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) and is responsible for the development, coordination and facilitation of quality assurance (QA), quality improvement (QI), and utilization management (UM). Additional responsibilities include working closely with health care providers, consultation, and liaison with the community.
This is a statewide position and will report to their nearest DHW location.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Examine patient records, including charts, test results, and treatment plans, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care provided, comparing it against established standards and best practices.
+ Verify that care provided adheres to relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
+ Identify Areas for Improvement.
+ Stay up-to-date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and regulatory changes.
+ Participate in peer review processes.
+ Work closely with the Quality Improvement Organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.
+ Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418. + Experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans. Typically gained by at least six months work experience.
