Abbott Rapid Diagnostics GmbH in Cologne is looking for a Senior Regional Finance Manager DACH + Netherlands (m/f/d).
We are recruiting for our next Commercial Controller, ARDx Infectious Disease DACH & Netherlands based in our office in Cologne, Germany.
The primary function of this position is to execute a wide range of financial planning and decision support responsibilities, including short and long-range planning and execution of strategic initiatives, for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease EMEA region, with responsibility for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. This role will be responsible for the full range of finance responsibilities in the region (e.g., general accounting in conjunction with Global Shared Services, financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, entity reporting, internal control, entity planning, inventory control, and disbursements) to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial related information.
What You’ll Work On
Provide proactive financial counsel to support commercial decision-making in partnership with the DACH & Netherlands General ManagerDrive financial forecast accuracy on sales and margins, including development and maintenance of dashboarding tools to analyze and root cause performanceEvaluation and appropriate documentation of the financial implications of new sales force compensation plans, marketing programs deal analysis, and changing customer support requirementsProvide support to identify and track Gross Margin Improvement initiatives and manage overall profitabilityProduct line profitability analyses, business trend analyses, pricing decisions and design of promotional offers and activitiesMonitor and support on overall profitability analysis of the business and on priority contracts (e.g. distributor contracts, major contracts)Resource allocation and utilization, tactical resource deployment, and strategic investment opportunitiesShared responsibility for the financial reporting process for the Area, leveraging the shared service resources from CorporateParticipation in the monthly demand forecast and S&OP process; financial modelling of instrument placements and utilisationAnnual planning and quarterly reforecasting process according to EMEA and Global requirements, including PowerPoint deck preparation and presentationRegular financial reports, e.g. P&L for area and countries, regular KPI reportsFinancial statements and analyses of sales, income, investment responsibility and other key statistics, in compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirementsEnsure a high degree of integrity and quality for the function activities at the macro (summary) as well as micro (product) levelsEnsure adequate internal controls are established/maintainedQualifications:
B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance MBA, CPA and/or CMA desirable 8-10 years of diverse financial experience, including P&L responsibility, financial planning, reporting and analysis, general accounting, cost accounting and internal controlTrack record of working to tight deadlinesSolid analytical skills and ability to perform complex and sometimes unprecedented analysisAbility to operate both at strategic and operational levelsVery strong communication and relationship building skills at all levels, with preferable experience in an international matrix organization
