Based in Cluj Napoca, part of the Test and Measurement group of Emerson , NI/Digilent, as a Senior R&D Group Manager, you will champion organizational process improvements, drive the standardization of project workflows, and build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, in addition to leading a hard-working team of engineers and project professionals.
In this role, you will drive technical excellence, improve organizational processes, standardize project execution, and foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
**People & Organizational Leadership**
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical professionals.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, safety, and customer focus.
+ Support career development, performance management, and team engagement. **Technical Leadership**
+ Provide technical leadership and guidance across software, digital, analog, FPGA, and embedded system development.
+ Act as a technical partner and escalation point for complex engineering decisions.
+ Promote best practices in system architecture, design reviews, and technical documentation. **Project & Delivery Ownership**
+ Prioritize projects and manage technical resources across multiple initiatives.
+ Oversee project planning, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
+ Partner with project management to ensure delivery on time, on cost, and to quality expectations.
**Who You Are:**
You are an experienced technical leader who enjoys balancing people leadership, technical mentoring, and execution excellence. You are comfortable operating in a matrix environment, influencing across disciplines, and creating clarity in complex programs.
**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
+ 5–7+ years of experience in engineering, product development, or technical project leadership roles.
+ Strong understanding of FPGA technology, digital and analog circuit design, and embedded systems.
+ Solid knowledge of software design principles and system architecture.
+ Demonstrated experience leading and developing engineering teams.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Background in test and measurement products or instrumentation.
