Exciting opportunity for an experience Quantity Surveyor to join our London projects teams working across a large portfolio of commercial clients
Responsibilities
Has a good knowledge of and adheres to the Company’s Policies and Procedures, IMS and other governanceOrders information and systematically checks dataPrepares activity schedules, resource schedules & analyses tender documents. Provides commercial input to value engineering reviews for different projectsCritically appraises, estimates and negotiates with 3rd parties where required.Support and challenge the project teams in new tenders, providing commercial input and commercial adjudication to potential works (Go/No-go, CRB, etc)Assist with seeking and reviewing potential new revenue streams and business opportunitiesAssists with the preparation of delay and disruption programmesSub-contract management: Monitors activities, measure works and respond appropriately with applicable notices. Vetting of sub-contract terms, conditions and contract placementAnalyses the commercial progress and report to senior project staffExperienced in contract management: Issue and management of Early Warning Notices / EWN Register, Risk Register & Ownership, Compensation/Relevant Events and alikeManages commercial aspects with Customer and Stakeholders for their area of responsibilityUndertakes constructability analysis using construction programmesPrepares procurement programme and helps develop the strategyAnalyses rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as requiredMaximise entitlement and overall project value under the contractUndertakes customer and stakeholder management for their area of responsibilityMonthly valuations, final accounts and post contract settlement including defects managementDispute management: Management of contractual disputes. Prepare, submit and negotiate claims when requiredVetting of contractual terms & conditions in accordance with Integral house rulesCash management: Commercial processes involved with debt recovery, retentions and cash flowPrepares internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliationMaintains own Personal Development PlanManages HR/People aspects for direct and indirect reports (IDP’s etc)Actively supports the development of othersProduces plans for team to achieve goals / aspirationsSupports recruitment of lower gradesQualifications and Experience
Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management, Finance, Economics, Law or related field.7+ years of progressive experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, or related rolesProven track record of successful contract negotiations and relationship managementExperience gained in commercial environments demanding financial goals and business growth.Experience with CRM systems and contract management toolsLocation:
