The Collins Aerospace Additive Design and Manufacturing (ADaM) team is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Monroe, NC Additive Manufacturing facility. This role will serve as the primary quality engineer for the site supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Control of Nonconforming Outputs for Additively Manufactured components to ensure adherence to quality standards and product specifications. This role will also support the day-to-day operations in the metrology lab.
What You Will Do:
Promote a strong quality culture within the Monroe and greater Additive Design and Manufacturing Team during AS9100 certification. This includes providing audit support, team guidance, training and evaluations.Develop and implement Quality processes by creating standards, specifications and documentation for AS9100 supportCreation of planning and risk mitigation documents for inspection (receiving, in-process and final), sampling, First Article Inspection, Measurement Systems Analysis, supplier evaluations and Advanced Product Quality PlanningAbility to work in digital systems including ballooning software, FAI Report Software, Workflows, CAD manipulation software or other software as needed by the facility. Responsible for authoring and reviewing Quality Notifications and leading Preliminary and Material Review Boards.Lead quality investigations and Root Cause Corrective Actions. Provide support to cross-functional team during investigations. Lead product requirement reviews in collaboration with the Quality Inspector and Quality Manager.Support and Author operations per Enterprise Resource Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems plans. Evaluate and prepare metrology inspection reports for customer deliverables. Support metrology inspection process as needed.Analyze quality data to depict quality trends and improvements utilizing statistical process control. Maintenance of Calibration Program including recalling of gauges, cadence of calibration and risk assessmentsSupport Supplier Quality team as needed. Must be willing and able to attend occasional Zoom meeting before or after hours to facilitate global collaboration Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the timeQualifications You Must Have:

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
