Senior Quality Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to champion product excellence and drive continuous improvement for our commercially available medical devices. Based in San Jose, CA, this role is pivotal in ensuring our cutting-edge visualization and instrumentation solutions continue to empower surgeons worldwide. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Marketing, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations to uphold and elevate the quality of our products. Your work will directly influence patient outcomes by enhancing the tools used in operating rooms across the globe.

What you will do:

Monitor Customer Feedback: Monitor feedback to identify quality issues for further investigation.Investigate Concerning and Trending Quality Issues: Leverage customer feedback as well as intuition and risk assessment to identify the most important opportunities for product improvements.Root Cause & Design Product Improvements: Lead investigations into product issues and implement design enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Advanced Product Support & Customer Support: Partner with Sales Representatives and Customers to resolve technical challenges in the field.Customer Interaction: Visits customer sites to observe OR workflow, surgical procedures, and products in use as required to support concept development or issue resolution.

What you will need:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related)2+ years’ experience working in Design Quality, NPD, Engineering or R&D

Preferred Qualifications:

Quality Assurance experience and training desired.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to effectively communicate technical terms to a non-technical audience.

$100,400.00 - $160,800.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 20%
