This role is located in our Austin, TX office and has a schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day work from home.

Role Description:

Our Team at Land.com seeks a qualified Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience ensuring high quality for highly performant web applications supporting millions of monthly users.  We’re looking for someone adept at testing systems, APIs as well as being involved early in the process with Dev and Product to ensure that a quality process adheres to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities: 

Define and execute test cases to thoroughly evaluate software functionality, integration, and reliability

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including providing feedback during grooming meetings

Investigate, log, and escalate as appropriate the defects identified during testing

Collaborate with other Software Quality Assurance team members on the continual improvement of our testing methods and strategies

Act as an advocate for testing, training and support other team members as appropriate

Coordinate testing for releases and participating as necessary

Gaining a deep understanding of the CoStar Land business and apply them on the job

Ensure that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and established procedures 

Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure that quality considerations are incorporated throughout the software development lifecycle

Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders

Drive continuous process improvement, implement best practices, and promote the adoption of industry standards within the quality assurance function

 

Basic Quallifications: 

Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.

A track record of commitment to prior employers

5+ years of experience in manual software testing 

Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps 

Knowledge of SQL and the ability to validate data at the database level

Experience in API testing and tools like Postman

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes 

Experience testing web-based and backend applications
