For the latest news, visit news.samsung.com/us.Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified Senior H/W QA Engineer who has experience with managing, troubleshooting, re-production of defect and tracking wireless products’ HW performances. SEA environment is fast paced so ability to prioritize, be flexible and react quickly is a must. This position will interface with cross-functional teams and operators to provide engineering support for the new wireless product development, validation of new features and technologies, spanning from initial stage to the lab entry phase through product launch.
This role will conduct failure analysis of devices to identify root causes, improve product reliability, and ensure quality standards. The individual will primarily focus on analyzing pre/post-launch Samsung mobile products.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct pre and post launch device failure analysis, lead root cause discoveries, and generate issue resolutionsProvide detailed analysis and reports to R&D, making recommendations to enhance product quality and performanceEvaluate product designs and introduce process and tools that improve customer experience, unlock efficiencies, and elevate quality standardsServe as a two-way communication bridge between customers and internal teams to verify wide scope quality issues, causes, and solutions across device hardware, software, components, processes, ETC.Investigate and capture various system logs and assist in R&D debugging of both SW and HWServe as technical expert and point of contact to client, R&D, 3rd party lab representatives, contractors, and teammatesCommunicate effectively and convey strong value propositions that convince and drive alignment across internal and external leadershipProject manage; set goals and objectives, manage resources, make decisions, delegate tasks, plan and organize assignments, set project timelines, and ensure project success.Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years related experienceProven experience with field data analysis and return/defect data trackingAble to analyze issues from both HW and SW perspectives.Able to drive quality improvement initiatives across teamsComfortable presenting complex findings and recommendations to executive leadership levelsProven experience with field data analysis and return/defect data trackingNot only strong HW analysis skills, but also a solid understanding of SW behavior and its interaction with hardware components.#LI-HM1
