ADP is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - AIM

You will start your day on a scrum call to sync up the sprint work and goal with your team. You will spend most of your day continuously evaluating existing test coverage, identifying gaps, and implementing test strategies to achieve as much confidence as possible in your automation and ensuring product quality. Your role also requires you to advocate for necessary changes to improve the end-user experience.

In this role, you will work with the development team and Product Owner to gather details on features we want to develop and use that information to build and execute product testing for ADP's web-based Human Resource solutions to determine customer usability before deployment. This role is critical to making sure we deploy usable products.

Hybrid work model, reporting directly to our Porto Alegre Office location.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Demonstrates advanced understanding and experience on: As Senior Quality Assurance Analyst / Test Engineer APIs Selenium; Test Automation; Java, JavaScript/typescript; BDD/Cucumber; Jenkins; Writing Test Scenarios; Using API testing; Testing web UI and API applications; Working with Continuous Integration process and tools like Jenkins;

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

Agile. You understand that an agile environment requires flexibility. Sometimes the scope is not fully written, and you will have to talk with the Product Owner and the team to get more details and complement the User Stories. You and the team will define the sprint goal together. Working in two-week sprints, you need to keep up with deadlines. Time constraints and fluidity of work often mean taking a creative approach to your testing strategy. Starting test development in parallel with feature development may be one option.

Create & Test. You'll define test plans and scenarios and will implement automated test cases for large-scale, complex software applications. You will focus on the verification and validation of applications from a system and end-user perspective.

Collaborate. We work collaboratively, so you will communicate and collaborate with technical developers and multiple stakeholders for your products. You'll articulate clear and compelling reasons to persuade developers and Product Owners to make product changes for the end user's benefit.

Learning. You're always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn.

Challenge. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to find a solution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

Write and advise on high-quality, efficient, and maintainable automation scripts. Automate functional and non-functional requirements across the code, UI, services, and DB scripts. We'll start each day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities. Our testers do more than build test and quality programs - they clearly communicate the intricacies and problems at hand. Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from supporting migrations to validating new features, product enhancements, or creating new test services. We're always learning new approaches, and you are comfortable learning as you go to find solutions. We're working on products with tech we never used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for creative solutions.

A university degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills and experience to do the job.
