Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team.

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality of our cloud-based applications. You’ll bring a strong background in test automation, AWS batch processing, and large-scale backend systems, and thrive in agile environments. As a key member of the QA team, you’ll contribute to test planning, develop automation frameworks, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold high quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

Participate in defining and executing test plans and strategiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworksEnsure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and performance testingCollaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate quality throughout the SDLCContribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testingSupport defect triaging and root cause analysisAdvocate for best practices in testing, including shift-left approaches

Required skills/ experience:

Experience in Quality Assurance, with experience in a senior or advanced roleSolid understanding of QA methodologies, agile testing, and SDLC practicesHands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similarFamiliarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or BambooExperience with API testing and SQLWorking knowledge of AWS services such as Glue, S3, Step Functions, Lambdas, EventBridge, and SQSProficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript)Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks

Advantageous experience:

Experience with Big Data testingMentor Junior QA engineersProficiency in SQL and Data validationKnowledge of Performance Testing toolsFamiliarity to AI/ML Model TestingBasic understanding of security testing
