Senior QA Automation Engineer – Digital Delivery (Vancouver)
Position Description:

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid – must work PST hours)

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our digital delivery team supporting enterprise digital platforms. As a senior consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of large-scale digital applications used by millions of users. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications, working closely with developers, product owners, and delivery managers in an Agile environment.
This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience in Selenium-based test automation, enterprise-grade quality engineering, and continuous integration / deployment pipelines.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium (Java, Python, or C#).
. Develop and execute test plans for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
. Contribute to test data management, environment setup, and defect triage processes.
. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
. Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
. Support the full QA lifecycle including test case design, execution, and reporting.
. Provide quality metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement recommendations.
. Mentor and guide junior QA team members and support automation best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
. Proven experience using Selenium WebDriver for automated UI and regression testing.
. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
. Experience in enterprise environments with web and/or mobile applications.
. Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail) and CI/CD pipelines.
. Solid scripting/programming skills Java, JavaScript are critical others such as Python, or C# are an asset.
. Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
. Understanding of Agile / Scrum practices and DevOps integration.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.
. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of deliverables.

“CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range in British Columbia is $65,000 - $130,000.”
