**Job Description**
Mount Sinai seeks a Senior Prospect Research Analyst who enjoys information management and data visualization, is technologically savvy and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate has an inquisitive mind, strong analytical and communication skills, and is a willing and positive team player. The Senior Prospect Research Analyst is part of a seven-person team responsible for prospect research and identification and pipeline development. The Senior Prospect Research Analyst will conduct verification-level prospect research and assist with portfolio coding and management.
This role operates within a hybrid work model, with on-site expectations established in alignment with departmental priorities and evolving organizational guidelines. Employees must reside within a commutable distance of the 42nd Street Midtown NYC office. The role may also require occasional evening or weekend hours.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree required
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in development research or a related field such as library sciences, academic research, financial analysis, law/paralegal, or similar professional role with an emphasis on data/information a plus.
+ Strong Excel skills required.
+ Experience with development research tools and resources a plus. Raisers Edge (including Raisers Edge NXT) experience is a plus. Knowledge of Tableau or any comparable data visualization tool is also a plus.
+ Strong analytical skills to perform complex analysis on a wide range of biographical, financial, public, and Mount Sinai (internal) information. Ability to synthesize information into concise, well-written documents that help to inform strategy.
+ Must be detail-oriented with strong organization, communication/writing, and time management skills. Must understand information management in a database structure, particularly the ability to store, retrieve, analyze, and maintain data.
+ Must be committed to protecting the confidentiality of our constituency, and to collecting information ethically.
+ Able to work collegially in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with insights into how best to support fundraising officers
+ Organized and responsive team player with a good sense of humor.
+ Interest in data science and information management is a plus, with opportunity to grow.

**Compensation Statement**
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $59,895.00 - $89,843.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

**Responsibilities**
(in order of importance and/or frequency)
+ Verify high-level capacity ratings on wealth-screened lists using research resources such as WealthEngine and LexisNexis. Provide notes and analysis of key findings, including ratings, and assign prospects to proper service line for maximum potential.
+ Partner with assigned gift officers and service lines to build their portfolios to successfully meet their goals. Align and partner with the Prospect Strategy and Management team to provide biographic and philanthropic information to support strategic and tactical next steps for pipeline movement.
+ Serve as the Prospect Research team lead for projects. These include specialized due diligence, identification, and verification projects. Responsibilities will include managing deadlines, data, and workflow.
+ Perform due diligence on prospects, following protocol and clearly outlined parameters. Partner with Prospect Strategy and Management, gift officers, and Development Systems to fully develop prospects’ risk management.
+ Partner with the Prospect Strategy and Management team and Development Systems teams to operationalize data updates for portfolios, performance reports, and metrics.
+ Research and write profiles on potential and current donors to MSHS for various audiences across the health system. Also assist in preparing event-focused research and provide additional data to support follow up efforts.
+ Other projects and activities as assigned by the prospect research team. Collaborate on prospect identification and verification projects as needed, including projects that support external teams.
