The Senior Proposal Engineer will work directly with engineering teams to develop engineering inputs to a diverse team responsible for the development of new plant engineering proposals, early works agreements and new product developments.

In this position the Senior Proposal Engineer will drive timely decision making of technical issues related to the application of our standard plant on different opportunities, proposal technical write-ups, engineering estimates and schedule development. The Senior Proposal Engineer will coordinate, expedite, and close open issues/concern and be responsible to ensure on-time and budget delivery of early works projects and new product developments.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Senior Proposal Engineer, you will:

Report solid line to the Proposal Engineering managerProvide leadership and be accountable for on-time delivery of design products within budgetEstablish and maintain strong working relationship with other internal engineering teams, business leaders, project managers and stakeholdersInterface with external partners, customers, and other applicable country specific regulatory agencies, as required on technical issuesWork with Advanced Application and functional engineering teams to build estimates, schedules, manage change orders and responses to Corrective ActionsCoordinate engineering interfaces and drive timely resolution of technical project issues with multiple engineering disciplines, business project and product management, partners, subcontractors, and customersSupport the planning, organization, and management of the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverablesSupport the management of external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positionsSupport commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunitiesProtect the Intellectual Property rights of GVHSupport GVH initiatives, process improvement and simplificationEnsure adherence to GVH’s standards for nuclear safety and compliancePartner with business teams and present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leads across GVH   

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related Science or technical disciplineAt least 12 years of progressive experience in engineering design, project development, and/or project leadership experience

Eligibility Requirements:

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be consideredThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as required.

The base pay range for this position is $112,000-160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 7/28/2025.

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
