Senior Project Manager III (part time) - Columbus, NE 

This is a part‑time role, averaging no more than 32 hours per week, for an experienced professional who can operate with high impact and autonomy.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Project Manager III will lead capital and operational integration projects across ADM’s existing facilities while supporting the Senior Business Leadership on greenfield joint venture project opportunities.

The purpose of the role is to align existing facility assets, operational systems, and capabilities within potential JV opportunities, while contributing part‑time subject matter expertise.

Key Accountabilities
     
     Existing Facility Asset Integration & AlignmentLead assessment and integration projects aligning existing site infrastructure, utilities, logistics, digital systems, and operations with JV requirements.Identify opportunities to leverage current assets to reduce capital, expand capacity, or improve efficiency.Coordinate brownfield–greenfield interfaces and ensure compatibility during commissioning.Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams for facility readiness.     Synergy Identification, Tracking & DeliveryConduct synergy evaluations to quantify opportunities between the existing facility and JV.Develop and manage a structured synergy roadmap.Lead cross-functional initiatives to capture synergy value while minimizing disruptions.     Part‑Time SME Support to the Senior Program DirectorProvide subject matter expertise on existing operations and engineering practices.Participate in JV design reviews, risk assessments, and Stage-Gate deliverables.Support interface management between plant leadership, JV partners, EPC/EPCM partners, and licensors.Provide periodic analysis and advisory support during critical phases.     Cross‑Functional Coordination & Stakeholder EngagementFunction as liaison between existing site leadership and JV program team.Align technical requirements, timing, resources, and system integration.Ensure transparent communication of decisions, risks, and constraints.     Project Management & Delivery (Part‑Time)Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans for integration and synergy projects.Manage contractors, internal teams, and cross‑functional contributors.Ensure integration activities minimize disruption to current operations.     Issue Resolution & Continuous ImprovementIdentify interface risks and drive proactive mitigationFacilitate lessons learned across operational and capital teamsRecommend ongoing process improvementsRole Structure & ExpectationsPart‑time position averaging up to 32 hours per weekFlexible scheduling with higher engagement during key JV milestonesRequires prioritization of high-impact tasks and maintaining strong communicationSuccess IndicatorsDelivered synergy roadmapSeamless coordination between plant operations and JV programOn-time delivery of integration projectsHigh-quality SME contributions supporting major JV decisions
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering with experience in various system operations related to chemical and agribusiness industries, or other related industries20+ years’ project management experience in industrial, food, chemical, or manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated success in cross-functional project leadershipStrong communication and influence skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with brownfield–greenfield integration or capital interface projectsExperience with joint ventures, EPC/EPCM partners, or licensorsFamiliarity with reliability engineering, utilities planning, or digital/OT integrationPMP, PE, or similar credentials Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
