**Job Description**

AECOM's Water team is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Senior Project Manager - Water** for a full-time new position, based in our Ottawa, Ontario office. This position offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of municipal water infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems, transportation infrastructure, land development, and stormwater management for municipal, provincial, and federal clients.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven leadership in project delivery, and the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships in a dynamic consulting environment.
Responsibilities include:
+ Project Management duties including project team oversight, liaison with other disciplines to coordinate design efforts, managing project schedules, budget control, and managing deliverables
+ Provide regular reporting on project progress, including schedule, budget, quality, and risk management
+ Manage a portfolio of projects for multiple clients, ensuring consistent delivery performance and client satisfaction
+ Working directly with the group manager, project engineers, engineers in training and technical staff on Water projects
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading meetings, managing stakeholder engagement, preparing reports and proposals, conceptual / preliminary and detailed designs of water, wastewater and stormwater management infrastructure
+ Oversee preparation of technical specifications, tender documents, cost estimates, and contract administration services
+ Conduct and support technical quality reviews to ensure compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations
+ Support business development activities by leveraging local market knowledge and client relationships to position AECOM for future opportunities
+ Collaborate with Water Group leadership to maintain and grow strong client relationships and strategic accounts
+ Mentor and develop project engineers, engineers in training, and deputy project managers
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to strengthen AECOM’s market position in the Water sector
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (civil preferred) and 6+ years of related experience specifically as a Project Manager in design and construction of municipal water infrastructure projects
+ Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of Ontario
+ Eligibility to obtain Secret (Level II) Government of Canada security clearance
**Preferred Qualifications :**
+ 15+ years of related experience specifically in design and construction of municipal water infrastructure and land development projects
+ Expertise in capacity planning, future demand assessment, operations, and maintenance of water distribution, sanitary and stormwater management systems
+ Proficient in environmental engineering principles for major developments, including airport-specific requirements and Canadian aerodrome standards
+ Extensive knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal regulations and standards related to infrastructure and environmental compliance, particularly within the Ottawa region
+ PMP designation is an asset
+ Bilingual Advanced Proficiency (English/French)
+ Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of Quebec is an asset
+ Previous experience overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of large-scale capital works projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams
+ Experience developing and reviewing site servicing, grading, drainage, and municipal road designs
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as effective report writing. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with large groups
+ Experience in proposal preparation including determining work scope, preparing time task breakdowns and preparing text sections on technical approach, team and project experience, etc.
+ Experience preparing cost estimates and tender packages as well as contract administration
+ Valid ON driver’s license and access to a vehicle

+ Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $115000 to $165000.
