In this role you will support successful execution of design projects supported by Parsons Federal Engineering Team. What You’ll Be Doing:
Support the Director of Integrated Design & Construction Projects to help manage the business execution cadence for the Engineering Team.
Member of design and construction delivery teams to improve engineering execution.
Lead the design effort of projects to ensure effective coordination between the design teams and project management teams.
Review the scope and requirements that affect the project to contribute and facilitate the best solution within the technical and financial constraints of the project.
Validate the quality standards, design budget, and performance expectations of the project.
Identify design risks and recommend mitigations that could arise during the design and timely communication of performance, risk, and opportunities to the Project Manager
Provide oversight and support to ensure design services meet project financial, schedule, and deliverable targets.
Support Engineering Team proposal efforts to ensure compliant proposals provide reasonable proposal pricing, BOE/assumptions, and risks associated with Engineering Team support.
Track performance of assigned projects using Parsons systems in tracking design deliverables, services, labor resources, and performance.
Recommend actions to simplify and streamline processes to increase agility and improve efficiency across the Engineering Team.
Anticipate future needs and identify proactive solutions to satisfy those needs.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Support mobilization and demobilization planning of engineering staff.
What Skills & Experience You Will Bring:A Registered Engineer or Registered Architect is preferred, not required.
Project Management Professional or Parsons Certified Project Manager is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Master’s degree in management is a plus.
Broad and diversified experience in design and project management with a pedigree of experience in business and financial acumen.
A strong background in Federal Government contracting, acquisition and procurement processes is a plus
Must have a strong orientation for process improvement and collaboration.
Must have experience in project planning, execution, performance measurement, risk management, cost estimating, scheduling, and managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
A proven track record of influencing and driving outcomes without direct authority.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of success propelling change, learning, and continual improvement.
Anticipate future needs, eliminate obstacles, and identify proactive solutions.
Demonstrate high integrity, strong work ethic, and a natural and confident leader.
Proven problem solver who can make clear-headed decisions while under pressure.
Strong working knowledge of project and program delivery in the engineering and construction market.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Ability to obtain a DOE or DOW security clearance
