Senior Project Manager
**Introduction** As an IBM Senior Project Manager, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders. **Your role and responsibilities** We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SAP Complex Project Manager to lead and deliver high-value, large-scale SAP implementations, transformations, and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in managing end-to-end SAP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder satisfaction, and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and technical proficiency in SAP solutions across multiple modules and industries. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Project Planning and Execution: * Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. * Lead and manage all phases of SAP project lifecycles (e.g., blueprinting, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support). * Stakeholder Engagement: * Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of SAP solutions with business objectives. * Serve as the primary point of contact for project sponsors, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution. * Communicates effectively across the team and is passionate about culture. * Risk Management: * Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges. * Ensure compliance with governance standards and manage escalations effectively. * Team Leadership: * Lead cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants, developers, and external vendors. * Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring team alignment and performance optimization. * Budget and Resource Management: * Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value delivery within approved limits. * Optimize resource utilization and address capacity constraints proactively. * Quality Assurance: * Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and client expectations. * Oversee testing and validation processes, including UAT and integration testing. * Reporting and Metrics: * Provide regular updates to executive leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and outcomes. * Utilize tools to track KPIs, milestones, and deliverables for SAP project success. ------------------------- Required Skills and Experience: * SAP Expertise: * Deep knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, FICO, MM, SD, PP, or SuccessFactors) and integration capabilities. * Proven experience managing complex SAP implementations in large-scale enterprise environments. * Project Management Proficiency: * Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches). * PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred. * Minimum 1- - 15 years project deliveyr expirience within SAP, with multipe sucessful end-to-end delivery lifescycles. * Leadership and Communication: * Exceptional leadership and team management skills in complex, matrixed organisations. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities at the executive level. * Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: * Ability to resolve complex project challenges and make strategic decisions under pressure. * Technical Tools: * * Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for project tracking and collaboration. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively. * Experience in APAC, EMEA, or global SAP implementations is a plus.
