Position Overview
We are seeking a candidate to lead comprehensive project management services for our client. This role requires a seasoned professional who will oversee the complete project lifecycle from pipeline management through project closeout, while establishing and maintaining best practices across a global portfolio of capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Strategic Planning
Maintain consolidated capital pipeline tracker and provide strategic oversight during pre-initiation phasesDevelop project prioritization matrices based on pre-agreed criteria and funding strategiesCoordinate cross-functional teams to gather requirements and produce indicative budgets and timelinesAttend strategy meetings and deliver monthly pipeline update reports to stakeholdersProject Initiation & Approval Management
Guide projects from concept through formal approval by developing comprehensive scope, timelines, and budgetsEstablish project governance structures including core teams, decision matrices, and execution plansIncorporate Technical Due Diligence findings and coordinate procurement strategiesCompile formal submission packages in accordance with Applied Materials' organizational governance standardsTeam Onboarding & Development
Identify and manage PMO team resourcesProvide client-specific training on procedures, workflows, and governance requirementsEstablish project communications protocols, reporting requirements, and performance expectationsCreate comprehensive onboarding materials and track training completionProject Oversight & Delivery
Provide oversight to variable delivery teams across multiple projects throughout the project lifecycleMaintain consolidated program-level reporting including schedule, budget, quality, and performance metricsMonitor risk registers, manage change control processes, and coordinate stakeholder engagementEnsure compliance with standards and facilitate internal collaboration with key Applied Materials stakeholdersProject Closeout & Knowledge Management
Oversee systematic project completion including client acceptance and transition to operational teamsConduct financial reconciliation, lessons learned sessions, and project archivalUpdate portfolio data to inform future planning and maintain centralized project repositoriesAccount Management & Continuous Improvement
Maintain standardized PMO toolkit and provide portfolio-level insights and recommendationsSupport annual capital planning cycles and facilitate regular governance forums with the clientLead post-implementation reviews and benchmark account performance against industry standardsDevelop client-facing dashboards providing real-time visibility into project health and performanceSound like you? Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related fieldPMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferredMinimum 7-10 years of project management experience with demonstrated PMO leadershipExperience managing large-scale capital projects and cross-functional teamsStrong proficiency in project management software and reporting toolsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with technology or manufacturing clients preferredKey Competencies
