In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:Plan, direct and manage all aspects of the work of multi-disciplinary teams on small, medium and large healthcare, education, laboratory projects through the schematic, design development and construction contract support phase of each project;Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsDevelop, seek approval for and implement project work plans defining the scope, resources, schedule, and budget necessary to meet the needs of each projectEngage resources and maintain the necessary project team composition throughout the projectDirect and coordinate work of all professional staff and sub-consultantsCommunicate effectively, meaningfully and frequently with project stakeholdersInterface closely with local municipalities and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure designs conform to with standards/codes and gain necessary approvalsPrepare and conduct multi-stakeholder work sessions/presentations, charrettes, consultations, design reviews etc. as neededContribute to preparation and review of reports, design drawings and technical specificationsImplement QA/QC procedures for all work productCoordinate workload through entire project development and ensure completion of tasks on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust work efforts of the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of approved budgetsWork with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as neededManage several work assignments/projects concurrentlyTravel to and attend various external site locations and offices to participate in inspections, meetings, etc.Comply with all relevant legislation and corporate policies/proceduresPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsOntario licensed P. Eng. or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm providing services to client markets with complex and involved project approvals and implementation processesGood interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal English communications skillsStrong computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suiteLEED AP or experience in sustainable designPMP certification would be an assetDemonstrated subject matter expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering design of building/facility systemsAdditional assets include: functional familiarity with Bluebeam, MS ProjectOther Job Details

Further, the position requires:

Compliance with HDR and, as applicable, contractor safety policies and procedures.Potential attendance at job sites to support design and construction activitiesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field 10 years related experience A minimum of 5 years of project management experience Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management softwareMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
