The Position

The Opportunity

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the launch change management projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. You will take projects from original concept through completion by developing and directing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. This individual will conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

Additionally, this individual will ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables to ensure compliance with current business strategies. You will manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables while providing analytical guidance to the project team. Duties are varied and complex often involving research, analysis and solution development to assist department leadership in setting strategic direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage multiple/significant projects (schedules, resources) to ensure timely results that achieve stated project objectives. Specifically includes global inter-group and inter-site relationships, task relationship and duration, resource analysis and allocation risk assessment and contingency planning, and team dynamics.

Direct local implementation of global strategies, cross-functional continuous improvement teams and/or selected development/business area projects as directed by manager.

Liaises with appropriate business unit management on both strategic and tactical issues. Oversees realization of project value or benefits from solutions delivered.

Oversees the tracking and reporting of key project success measures. Provides feedback to the organization (such as project risks, deviations potential corrective actions), determines resource allocation and develops corrective actions. Oversees the interrelationships between projects being executed in parallel.

Leads, coaches and provides training to project teams on tools, techniques, and systems used to control and execute projects.

Ensures training, materials and communications are developed and implemented in accordance with project timelines

Who You Are

Bachelor’s Degree in focus business area such as Life Sciences, Finance, Operations Management, Information Technology or in Project Management

5 years of project management experience

At least 5 years experience (regulated industry) in Operations, R&D, Finance, Information Technology, or related Commercial function

Strong communication, influence, leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills

PMI PMP certification preferred

This position is based in Indianapolis, IN and has an in office requirement of 3 days/wk.

This is a fixed-term role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $81,900 - $152,100.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
