As part of the Business Resilience and Intelligence Team, this partner will support the Crisis Management program, which includes both localized as well as enterprise level crisis response. Partners on this team contribute to the programmatic effort to anticipate business disruptions and enable mitigation and response. They will work with the larger Global Security and Resilience organization to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities that will inform Crisis Management programs and collaborate on intelligence products for senior leadership that reflect the evolving business and partner safety landscape. Crisis Management partners also collaborate with the Business Continuity program, leveraging shared training, tabletop exercise experience, and business resilience knowledge.

+ Assists in driving the development and implementation of a Crisis Management program across the enterprise.
+ Establishes, maintains, and governs the processes, templates, and tools associated with emergency management and escalation to Crisis Management to address various levels of crisis response.
+ Designs and implements Crisis Management training programs for diverse teams across the enterprise.
+ Represents functional area on cross-functional project teams. Provides functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact. Strong project management, interpersonal, relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills.
+ Acts as project manager to deliver table-top exercises to sr. leadership as well as other functional groups by establishing cadence, content, and final documents to make for an effective training exercise while also identify gaps and improvements to existing plans or new plans.
+ Supports the director in delivering the strategic over-arching program roadmap including tracking and updating.
+ Leads program management for Crisis Management applications including but not limited to Starbucks mass notification tool and Business Continuity Management tool by identifying new requirements and leveraging current and future system investments to maximize system capabilities.
+ Assists business units during a crisis in the implementation of the response framework, notification protocols, and other activities as needed.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to interface, influence, and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business colleagues in multiple locations at all levels.

+ Project management of emergency preparedness programs, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communications (7 years)
+ Working across functional areas to develop effective business solutions that align with company and business unit/department objectives (7 years)
+ Coaching and mentoring other leaders and teams around emergency response (5 years)
+ Managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized emergency preparedness projects (5 years)
+ Requirements gathering and analysis (5 years)
+ Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationship with business and technology partners.
+ Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
+ Ability to define objectives, scope and resources for projects extending beyond a department or business unit.
+ Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, from initial justification through implementation and evaluation.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
