JLL Global Sustainability Services is comprised of 750+ professionals providing industry-leading sustainability solutions in the most complex real estate portfolios. This team has over 35 years of combined experience in the field of sustainability. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in energy and decarbonization investigations and optimizations to join our Sustainability Consulting practice.
This is a remote based role with travel to site required (approx. 20%) .
What this job involves:
Project Delivery & Quality Control (60%)
The Senior Project Manager will contribute to technical solution development, project execution, and quality assurance for portfolio decarbonization initiatives and site-specific technical assessments. This role encompasses direct project management and delivery responsibilities, alongside oversight of client-facing analytical deliverables to ensure technical excellence. Technical solutioning and quality assurance activities will span decarbonization projects and other technical engagements, such as energy audits, decarbonization portfolio planning, MEP-informed design, retro- and re-commissioning, performance optimization, project implementation, and related data management initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will strengthen our technical service delivery, ensuring consistent quality and dependability for our clients.
Solution Development / Client Engagement (25%)
The Senior Project Manager will support effective and proactive solution development related to proposed scopes of work for potential clients. In collaboration with the other technical leads, the Senior Project Manager will provide subject matter expertise during scope development and select business development engagements. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our clients are confident and assured in our technical delivery capabilities. The Senior Project Manager will take a leading role in ownership of our local law compliance services including but not limited to: Building Performance Standards, NYC LL97 and Boston BERDO.
Technical Delivery Process Development (15%)
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing and evolving the technical solutions for our sustainability consulting services. These include data management processes, analysis capabilities, identifying applicable 3rd Party tools as well as client facing deliverables, where applicable. The Senior Project Manager will need to collaborate across the North American Sustainability Consulting platform to bring together the best of developed solutions and provide leadership on streamlined approaches for the greater team.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in real estate sustainability, decarbonization/energy efficiency
Decarbonization/energy program management
BA/BS degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred), real estate, or related field
Availability to travel as required including travel to Canada
Strong understanding of building design, construction, and operations across multiple asset types, including but not limited to, MEP system design + controls, electrification, passive + energy efficient architectural design
Experience with any of the following building certifications preferred: ENERGY STAR, International Living Future Institute -Zero Carbon + Zero Energy
Possess strong analytical and creative critical thinking skills
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
An excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, sustainability management or real estate a plus
Demonstrated experience in technical engineering delivery, client engagement and presentation delivery and proposal/solution development preferred
Experience with any of following building analysis software, a plus: IES VE, EnergyPlus, DOE2/eQuest, cove.tool
CEM, CEA, and/or CxA preferred

Estimated compensation for this position:
125,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
