Senior Project Management Analyst / Financial Operations, Cronos
**Job Overview** The role includes responsibilities as an internal **financial operational liaison for the Cronos organization** , providing end‑to‑end financial oversight across study delivery, internal operations, and strategic planning. This role partners closely with Cronos leadership, Sales Operations, and Finance Business Partners to ensure accurate revenue recognition, disciplined cost management, and strong financial governance in support of Cronos’ growth and profitability objectives. Project Management Analysts (PMA) are an integral part of clinical trial delivery, liaising with project teams to improve patients’ lives by bringing studies to the market faster. **Key Responsibilities** **Cross‑Functional Partnership** + Acts as a trusted partner to **Cronos leadership** , providing financial insight to support decision‑making on resourcing, investments, and operational priorities. + Collaborates closely with **Sales Ops, Delivery, Resource Management, and Finance** **Business Partners** to ensure financial alignment across the study lifecycle—from opportunity setup through close‑out. **Internal Budget & Cost Control** + Manages **Cronos internal and non‑billable budgets** (e.g., Operations, development, IT and internal codes), tracking actuals vs. plan and highlighting variances and risks. + Advises leadership on **time‑coding strategy** (billable vs. non‑billable) to maintain financial transparency and appropriate cost recovery. + Supports accruals, expense planning, and year‑end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. + Analyzes **utilization assumptions, cost rates, and staffing models** to assess impact on pricing, margins, and overall profitability. + Partners with Finance leadership to evaluate **rate cards, utilization targets, and margin drivers** , ensuring financial models reflect Cronos’ operating reality. **Governance, Controls & Process Improvement** + Plays a key role in **Cronos project governance initiatives** , linking financial oversight with delivery governance, risk management, and operational discipline. + Supports implementation of **standardized financial processes** , including passthrough reviews, expense reconciliation, and alignment between delivery activity and invoicing. + Develops and delivers **financial training and guidance** (e.g., study finance lifecycle, utilization and time entry expectations) to Cronos managers and teams. + Manages other **internal initiatives** , whether driving them independently or partnering with others to ensure seamless execution. **Financial Support & Revenue Management** + Supports project teams that own **Cronos financial oversight at the study level** , including revenue recognition (predominantly POD‑based), margin monitoring, and alignment of financial activity with contractual terms (WOs, COs, SUWOs). + Serves as the **primary point of contact for Cronos revenue and financial inquiries** , coordinating with Sales Ops, Finance Business Partners, and Delivery to resolve issues related to billing, recognition timing, and financial accuracy. + Supports teams with **forecasting and outlook updates** , including quarterly and annual views, by validating assumptions related to contract status, FPI timing, and delivery readiness. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or other related field required Req + Requires knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of a job area, typically obtained through advanced education. + 3 years of relevant clinical research experience with analytical/financial skills or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. + Knowledge of clinical trials - strong knowledge of clinical trial conduct and skill in applying applicable clinical research regulatory requirements i.e. International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and relevant local laws, regulations, guidelines towards clinical trial conduct. + Communication - strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language. + Focused - results-oriented approach to work delivery and output. + Problem solving - problem solving skills. + Organisation - planning, time management, and prioritization skills. + Prioritisation - ability to handle conflicting priorities. + Quality - attention to detail and accuracy in work. + IT skills - good software and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Collaboration - ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. + Cross-collaboration - ability to work across geographies displaying high awareness and understanding of cultural differences. + Effective communication - ability to lead and influence without authority.
