Position Overview

JLL PDS Mumbai is seeking an experienced Senior Project Lead to manage comprehensive fitout projects for our Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) clients. This role requires a seasoned professional who can navigate the complex requirements of financial sector workplace environments while delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Leading projects to success

This role asks the question “How can I improve the processes?” Specifically, you’ll be responsible for the overall project development—guiding the teams in every project phase to achieve outcomes that meet the clients’ expectations.

For each project, you’ll establish an effective organisational structure for reporting, communication and working procedures, and ensure that clear objectives and quality control systems are in place. You’ll oversee a project team that is highly motivated, eager to contribute, and in sync with the stakeholders’ mind-sets. You’ll also attend project meetings, submit monthly reports, and monitor project budgets.

You’ll also develop a know-how in the use of our in-house technology, which include Project Home Page (PHP), Prolog and Atlas.

Making clients our first priority

The best person for this job is one who keeps on top of mindalways considers what’s best for our clients. As such, you’ll  maintainyou’ll maintain a strong and positive relationship with our clientsthem by identifying their needs, requirements and constraints. While you act in the clients’ best interests throughout the project duration, you must make sure that the project’s revenue and payment cycles are properly managed.

Project Smart

Do you have a degree in any property-related discipline, with 10 to 12 years’ experience in design, construction or project management? Are you proficient in Microsoft Office and Prolog? Do you have a deep understanding of the legal environment for each project in respect to planning, commercial aspects, and delivery? If all your answers are ‘yes’, then you’re already one step ahead. 

A natural communicator

This role calls for superior communication skills, as we’ll expect you to be able to handle complex conversations with business owners, senior executives, and decision makers. Of course, you’ll be good at building team relationships and interacting effectively with stakeholders in and out of the organisation.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent engineering discipline from a recognized institution. Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in project management, with substantial exposure to commercial fitout projects and direct experience managing client accounts.

Added Advantage - Demonstrated understanding of BFSI sector requirements including security protocols, regulatory compliance, technology infrastructure needs, and specialized workspace design considerations. Experience with bank branch fitouts, corporate offices, data centers, or other financial services facilities highly preferred.

Technical Skills Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Strong understanding of construction processes, MEP systems, interior design principles, and building codes. Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Communication & Leadership Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to senior executives and diverse stakeholder groups. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Stakeholder Management Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage expectations across multiple stakeholder groups including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Experience facilitating meetings and driving consensus among diverse parties.
