Senior Project Lead - Commercial Interior Fit-out JLL Project and Development Services (PDS), Mumbai

Position Overview

JLL Project and Development Services seeks an experienced Senior Project Lead to oversee commercial interior fit-out projects across Mumbai and surrounding regions. This role requires a seasoned professional with 15+ years of relevant experience to lead complex workplace transformations, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure successful project delivery from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery Lead end-to-end commercial interior fit-out projects including corporate offices, co-working spaces, retail environments, and mixed-use commercial facilities. Manage project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and resource allocation while ensuring adherence to client specifications and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects on schedule and within budget parameters.

Client Relationship Management Serve as primary client liaison throughout project lifecycle, maintaining regular communication on project progress, milestone achievements, and issue resolution. Conduct client presentations, facilitate design reviews, and manage change requests while preserving strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional business development.

Team Leadership & Coordination Direct multidisciplinary project teams including architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, project managers, and site supervisors. Foster collaborative work environments, provide technical guidance, and ensure team members have necessary resources and support to meet project objectives. Mentor junior staff and contribute to team capability development.

Quality Assurance & Compliance Implement quality control processes throughout project execution, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, sustainability standards, and JLL quality benchmarks. Conduct regular site inspections, coordinate with regulatory authorities, and manage documentation requirements for project approvals and handovers.

Budget & Risk Management Develop comprehensive project budgets, monitor expenditures against approved allocations, and implement cost control measures. Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain contingency planning to address unforeseen challenges while protecting client interests and project profitability.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in commercial interior fit-out project management, with demonstrated success managing large-scale corporate workplace projects. Proven track record of delivering complex interior projects across diverse commercial sectors including corporate offices, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.

Technical Expertise Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related construction management field. Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent industry credentials preferred. Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems integration, building codes, permit processes, and construction methodologies specific to commercial interior environments.

Leadership & Communication Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams of professionals across multiple disciplines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi, with ability to present complex technical information to diverse stakeholder groups. Proven negotiation skills and ability to resolve conflicts while maintaining positive relationships.

Technical Proficiency Advanced knowledge of project management software including MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent scheduling tools. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software for technical review capabilities. Familiarity with cost estimation software and financial management tools for budget tracking and reporting.
