The job holder will be responsible for the day-to-day debt management and the execution of monthly debt drawdowns under the various loan facility agreements in accordance with the overall funding strategy for the project and short-term expenditure cash forecasting. The job holder will establish and manage relationships across Agent Banks and other Finance Parties for the purpose of drawdowns and financing fees management. The job holder will maintain a short-term forecasting of the debt drawdowns and financing fees and will be the main interface with the treasury and accounting teams to ensure all project financing flows are properly reconciled and recorded in the financial systems. In addition, a part of the incumbent’s role shall be to take on ad-hoc tasks and activities yet to be defined and which shall help to ensure extra capacity within the Project Finance team as the project financing progresses and workload increases. The job holder shall be capable of working in a cross-functional manner with the Project Finance Team, the Treasury, Accounting and Financial Control Teams. Activities
Establish trusted relationships with Agent Banks including confirming disbursement requirements and defining common processes for efficient submissions and reviews Develop and maintain a short-term Financial Model to forecast short term debt drawdowns and financing fees. Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure appropriate allocation of sources of funds between equity and debt as per the project financing gearing ratio Preparation and submission of monthly Debt Utilization Requests and underlying documentation packages to the various Agent Banks in accordance with target submission dates and target funding needs of the Asset Company. Perform quality reviews on the documentation package linked to the Debt Utilization Requests Proactively manage and coordinate questions or discrepancies identified by the Agent Banks Responsible for obtaining the necessary internal approvals from the Asset Company on the debt utilization requests and initiate the on-loans from the Borrower Entity to the Asset Company per the Agreements Maintain, adapt and optimize the debt funding strategy across the various loan facilities taking into consideration forecasted tied eligible ECA content and requirements under the Loan Facility Agreements Maintain a tracker of all financing related fees, initiate payment requests to the treasury team and confirm with Agent Banks timely payment of funds Key user and system administrator of the debt management module in the Treasury Management System. Provide all debt drawdowns and financing fees data needed by the Accounting team to generate the proper accounting entries Key user and system administrator of the Tied ECA Cloud solution ensure disbursement packages are properly generated and stored Design related processes and perform process reviews for consistency and compliance Maintain disbursement reports by lenders and other relevant dashboards Monitor the day-to-day operations and obligations related to interest rate hedging transactions Support Project Finance Manager on the project reporting to lenders and lender financial modelling Support the Project Finance Manager and other Project Finance Team Members through undertaking ad-hoc tasks and activities
Qualifications / Experience Prior senior experience in treasury, international cash management, project finance, financial planning & analysis or project economics Prior responsibility in developing and managing bank relationships required Prior experience using group treasury systems preferred Prior experience in maintaining complex financial models and performing economic analysis, advanced Excel, analytical and time management skills required Sound understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements and IFRS accounting Demonstrated ability to produce qualitative and structured written reports to senior audience and to effectively communicate with banks, advisors, consultants and senior management Fluid communicator with excellent written and spoken communication skills in English Strong conflict resolution, diplomacy and decision-making skills Able to work autonomously, with minimal management oversight Desire to take responsibility for own area of work and to hold self-accountable to deliver in line with responsibilities Ability to get along well with others in an international and multi-cultural environment and take a pragmatic approach to problem solving situations Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance
