Senior Project Engineer (Civil – Dry Dock Foundations & Pile Driving)
**Build Hawaii’’s Future** The Pearl Harbor Dry Dock Replacement program is a multi-billion-dollar federal project and one of the most technically complex marine infrastructure efforts in the Pacific. We are seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead engineering support for pile driving, shoring, excavation, dewatering, and heavy marine concrete scopes. This role is responsible for ensuring structural foundation packages are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with NAVFAC/USACE standards. It also carries the responsibility of mentoring junior engineers and directly supporting superintendents in the field. **Key Responsibilities** Engineering & Foundations Oversight + Lead planning, sequencing, and technical oversight for pile driving operations including testing, logs, alignment, and reporting. + Oversee shoring, excavation, and dewatering systems, ensuring conformance with design and environmental requirements. + Review and manage RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals for rebar, cofferdams, and marine foundation elements. Field Support & Coordination + Provide technical direction to superintendents and subcontractors during pile installation and large marine concrete pours. + Track equipment utilization, production rates, and installation logs against project schedules. + Interface daily with inspectors, divers, and consultants to resolve field issues. Quality & Compliance + Maintain and oversee QC documentation including pile logs, concrete breaks, welding/steel inspections, and density testing. + Ensure compliance with three-phase QC procedures, EM 385-1-1 safety standards, and NAVFAC requirements. + Prepare daily reports and support progress documentation for Navy inspectors.
