Position Title: Senior Project Engineer
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university is required. A Master’s degree or membership in professional bodies (e.g., PMP, PMI, ICE, ASME) is considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, and the execution of oil and gas projects, preferably in both greenfield and brownfield environments. Experience requirements may vary depending on project scope and include: Brownfield project execution in petrochemical or resource industries. Pipeline and fuel distribution projects, including CNG station development. Work on dense-phase CO? pipelines, WAG (Water Alternating Gas) injection, and mature field redevelopment. Refinery and downstream petrochemical brownfield project management. Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end projects as an Owner/Client representative, preferably within an International Oil Company (IOC). Proven capability in leading multi-discipline engineering coordination during feasibility studies, concept design, FEED, and EPIC stages.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Management: Lead and manage assigned onshore projects from inception through execution to final handover, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective designs and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, internal departments, end-users, and external stakeholders (e.g., government entities, joint ventures, and third-party partners). Planning & Execution Oversight: Develop, review, and implement key project plans including Project Execution Plans, Risk Management Plans, Quality Plans, HSE interface plans, and Assurance strategies. Actively participate in project planning, cost control, progress monitoring, budgeting, and contract administration. Oversee change management processes and ensure all scope changes and variations are properly assessed and processed. Tendering & Contract Support: Participate in the preparation of tender packages, conduct evaluations, and provide technical and commercial recommendations to tender committees. Support the review and resolution of contractor claims and variations, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations. Risk & Interface Management: Develop and regularly update project risk registers, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and close-out of risks. Coordinate and manage project interfaces between contractors, internal stakeholders, and external authorities to ensure smooth project integration. Mentorship & Development: Provide technical mentorship and supervision to Qatari engineers, supporting their development plans and monitoring their growth within the organization. Participate in the development or review of internal project management procedures and guidelines as assigned. Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed and accurate project reports, presentations, and documentation to support internal governance and stakeholder communication. Represent the project in progress meetings, workshops, and official reviews.
