Construction Project Coordinator – JLL
What this job involves:
You'll be the reliable support foundation for JLL's construction project success, providing essential assistance to Project Managers in coordinating, organizing, and supporting complex commercial real estate construction projects. Your attention to detail and coordination skills will ensure smooth project operations, effective documentation management, and consistent administrative support across our construction portfolio. In this role, you will directly contribute to JLL's construction project delivery excellence by enabling Project Managers to focus on strategic priorities while you handle critical coordination, documentation, and administrative functions that keep projects running efficiently.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Provide administrative support to Project Managers across construction project phases including documentation assistance, schedule organization, and milestone tracking
Maintain construction project documentation including permits, inspections, project files, drawings, and specifications in organized systems using SharePoint, Teams, and construction management platforms
Assist Project Managers with internal team coordination, meeting scheduling, communication support, and construction progress coordination activities
Help with construction budget tracking assistance and basic financial coordination activities throughout project lifecycles using tools like Certinia
Support construction project performance tracking, progress monitoring, quality documentation, and adherence to established procedures
Coordinate internal communication between Project Managers, construction teams, and support departments to facilitate smooth project workflows
Organize and maintain comprehensive construction project files ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and systematic administrative support
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field (Associate degree with relevant experience considered)
2-4 years of experience in construction support, project coordination, administrative assistance, or related support roles
Basic proficiency in project management tools (AdaptiveWork, Ingenious, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and construction management systems (Procore, PlanGrid)
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills for project documentation, reporting, and administrative support
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation management and systematic administrative support with proven administrative skills
Clear communication abilities for coordination with construction teams and administrative support functions
Understanding of construction processes, project phases, construction terminology, and administrative procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with construction documentation organization, filing systems, project record keeping, and document management systems
Background in commercial construction, real estate projects, or construction industry practices
Familiarity with construction management software, project coordination tools, or construction documentation systems
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) for regional construction support coordination
Coursework or training in construction management, project coordination, or construction administration
Service-oriented approach with reliable work style and ability to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously
