Major League Baseball is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the Global Design Project Management team by leading timeline creation and management for all MLB branding strategy and development and assisting on Club uniform and logo changes. This role will also support event preparation, department job requests, workload management, and research/reporting. The Senior Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager, and work closely with the Designers and freelancers to plan and manage team goals and workflows.
The Global Design Project Management team oversees a wide range of creative initiatives, including social media, digital campaigns, brand identity, and event design. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a dynamic team, providing exposure to how cross-functional creative work is executed in a fast-paced environment. You’ll learn how large-scale design projects are managed and executed across a global brand, as well as strategic planning and day-to-day project management.
Responsibilities
Brand strategy and development management
Draft detailed project plans that identify key stages in the style guide creation and approval processes Create and manage logo and style guide development timelines Coordinate with designers, marketing, sponsorship, legal, and other internal stakeholders to review and approve creative throughout each stage Work with internal and external parties to develop research and post-project reportsManagement of MLB Style Guide site
Primary manager of MLB Style Guide site, distributing MLB and Club marks to licensees, partners, sponsors, and Clubs Manage external site-hosting vendor to upload new files to the Style Guide Perform quality control review for each new upload prior to assets going live for all users Maintain user access, set up new registrations and troubleshoot requests Responsible for site-wide communications sent to usersDepartmental project management and administrative support
Track project deliverables, deadlines, and task progress Assign new tasks based on team availability and priorities Build and manage project timelines and roadmaps Maintain organized project files and documentation Collect, record and submit invoices for payment Create monthly, quarterly and annual reportsQualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 years marketing or graphic design/studio experience with a strong background in branding conceptualization and development Basic understanding of graphic design, post-production, and printing Familiarity with MLB and the 30 Clubs Must be creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven Proficient in Project Management platforms, Asana strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite Familiar with Adobe programs preferred, not requiredSalary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
