This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings deep expertise in project controls, earned value management, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver critical infrastructure that supports sustainable communities and resilient water systems.
What you’ll do
* Develop and implement project controls plans tailored to large-scale water/wastewater programs, ensuring alignment with client goals and Jacobs’ delivery standards.
* Oversee cost engineering activities, including budget development, cost tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting.
* Build and maintain detailed schedules that are cost- and resource-loaded.
* Support multi-year planning and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions.
* Apply EVM principles to assess project performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
* Supervise and mentor project controls staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Serve as a key point of contact for project controls, presenting updates and insights to clients and stakeholders at all levels.
* Collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and capitalize on opportunities.

* Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules across multi-phase programs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Solid understanding of operational business processes in the engineering and construction industry, especially within water infrastructure.
* Exposure to interoperability between project controls systems and enterprise platforms.
* Ability to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections.
