This position is to be based our growing **Cleveland, and Columbus OH** offices. We’re looking for a leader in design & technical excellence. One who is driven by a passion for delivering quality work, mentoring staff, and leading multi-disciplinary teams. As a Senior Project Architect with recognized technical expertise and experience in demanding, design driven projects, you will lead interdisciplinary teams. Leveraging your industry experience and technical acumen, you will drive a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design, documentation, and construction. **About the Ohio Buildings + Places Team** Our Ohio practice - anchored by large studios in Columbus and Cleveland - is one of the most established and highest-performing B+P practices in **AECOM** ’ s West Region. Since 2022, Ohio B+P projects have earned nearly 30 design awards, reflecting our commitment to craft, performance, resiliency, and innovation at every scale. **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:** + In partnership with the Project Director and/or Project Manager, you will lead a team, or multiple teams, in the design and technical documentation and delivery of a wide range of projects + Supporting the pursuit of exciting new projects + Prepare design and contract drawings using advanced design software tools + Develop solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems. + Oversee the work of more junior designers and architects + Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultant. + Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials + Provide quality control reviews of projects in the studio. **The following characteristics are essential for the success of this position:** + Detail oriented, thorough, well-organized and effectively manage time + Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives + Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills + Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously + Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills + Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor of Architecture plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Licensed as a registered architect **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and PowerPoint + Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures + Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC + Ability to thrive in a collaborative, open office work environment + Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position. + Sponsorship is not available for this position. + Occasional travel may be required for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
