We are hiring for a Sr. Programming Manager to join our team, based in Warsaw. This role is a key contributor to the Prime Video organization and will be the cornerstone between content acquisition, Amazon Studios, marketing and PR to help ensure the most customer obsessed content portfolio. This role will be responsible for assisting in identifying the content needed to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, successfully aligning the content initiative with scheduling and marketing to ensure Prime Video customers are always engaged, well-served, and delighted by with our service. Specifically, this involves diving deep on the audience goals of each title, and making recommendations to maximize their success through release plans in combination with the entire portfolio.
The successful candidate will make recommendations that will help shape a customer-obsessed content portfolio for the Polish market through a deep understanding of individual titles and by recommending initiatives that maximize performance across the local video slate. A critical thinker with strong attention to detail, capable of evaluating data from multiple sources, managing multiple priorities, and thriving in a dynamic environment while thinking beyond their immediate responsibilities. The role will also rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables. Effective cross-functional collaboration within the Global/EMEA Programming Strategy team and across Marketing, Finance, and Content teams is crucial to the success of this role.
Key job responsibilities
• Support innovation in optimizing the Prime Video content portfolio in Poland to best serve our local customers
• Provide actionable customer insights to help define long-term content plans, including audience priority decisions and portfolio gaps/risks/opportunities on genres and formats
• Conduct deep dives and analysis to support content portfolio decisions
• Support long-term portfolio programming initiatives and translate them into network briefs in close partnership with Originals and Licensing teams, focusing on audience and content needs across a 5-year horizon
• Make recommendations on TV series and Movie plans and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to achieve key objectives
• Serve as the local point of contact in Operational Planning Cycles in collaboration with the Finance team
• Implement and leverage central tools and mechanisms (audience targeting models, portfolio optimization) developed from the central team
