We are seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. This role is essential to ensuring the success of a major customer integration project and supporting our commitments to both the business and our customers, including large healthcare systems and high-volume clients.
Position Overview
The Senior Programmer Analyst will serve as the primary support person for PowerPath LIMS and provide post-integration support to customers. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory workflows, anatomic pathology IT, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, project leadership, and customer-facing support to ensure smooth transitions and long-term system performance.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary support resource for PowerPath LIMS and customer-facing systems.
Provide on-call support for production systems.
Deliver training and user support before, during, and after implementations or conversions.
Collaborate with users to understand workflows, clarify program objectives, and recommend improvements.
Offer ongoing application support and participate in new development initiatives.
Function as a project leader for assigned integration and implementation projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of IT experience, with demonstrated expertise in anatomic pathology build, project, and implementation.
Administrator experience with PowerPath LIMS (required).
Solid understanding of laboratory workflows and operations, including LIS integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR), reference systems, and EDI interfaces.
Knowledge of change management principles.
Strong documentation skills using Microsoft Word, Visio, or similar tools.
Ability to learn complex applications quickly and work independently.
Preferred Requirements
Experience supporting large healthcare systems or high-volume laboratory environments.
Demonstrated success in post-M&A system integration projects.
Familiarity with additional LIMS or LIS platforms beyond PowerPath.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and customer-facing interactions.
