Senior Program Manager, Technology Program Management , TAI
Description Amazon's Transportation Operations Management (TOM) Automation Implementation (TAI) group is driving change in the Middle Mile. You will be responsible for developing and advancing the technology underpinning automation at the gate and yard processes. This encompasses identifying distinct stages of program life cycle, scoping deliverables for each phase gate, defining stakeholders and their roles and responsibilities. The role will entail the creation of mechanisms and for intake, prioritization and tracking, along with building out associated data visualization. You will also be responsible for scoping and delivering end-to-end large scale projects across TOM. This includes collection of business and systems requirements, writing specifications, and driving project schedules. You will lead and coordinate efforts between teams to develop optimal solutions, make appropriate tradeoffs, and communicate goals to cross-functional project teams. Key job responsibilities Develop new and advance existing hardware roadmaps, technology advancement that support or will support automation efforts as part of TOMs gate and yard processes. Work with Engineering, Tech and Product teams to translate requirements into specifications. Lead and direct external vendors when needed with planned roadmaps. Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability. Drive project execution, make technical tradeoffs, track and report on status, and resolve blockers. Lead business reviews, working with stakeholders to create comprehensive and pertinent documents. Can sit in Bellevue (WA), Austin (TX), Chicago(ORD), Atlanta (GA) or Nashville (TN). Travel up to 10% as needed (including internationally). Travel 20-25% per quarter. About the team The TOM Automation Implementation (TAI) team identifies, drives and implements increasingly complex, cross-functional and impactful initiatives in Amazon's Middle Mile. We own these programs from end to end, anticipating bottlenecks, resolving blockers, managing escalations and balancing business needs versus technical constraints. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
