About the role

As the Sr. Program Manager of Performance, you will be central to driving Zillow’s performance management strategy and systems. Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, you will design and continuously improve the enterprise performance management program as we build a more connected talent ecosystem. Your work will help shape how Zillow evaluates impact and growth, and you will play a key role in evolving our performance programs to meet the needs of our people and business.

You Will Get To

Designing Performance Frameworks: Lead the strategy and design of Zillow’s performance management framework to drive impact, growth, and alignment with business strategy.

Integrating Talent Programs: Partner with other teams to create a unified talent ecosystem that connects performance management to succession planning, leadership development, and career growth. 

Partnering with Leaders: Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders to understand organizational needs and develop scalable, people-centered solutions.

Leveraging Technology: Work with People Product and Technology Enablement teams to create a seamless experience in Cloud HQ, integrating performance, feedback, goals, and development.

Shaping Organizational Insights: Use data, feedback, and industry best practices to evolve Zillow’s performance philosophy and influence talent decisions.

Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends in performance management and apply expertise to strengthen Zillow’s high-performance culture.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $105,900.00 - $169,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

7+ years of experience in Program Management, HR Operations, or Talent Management, with exposure to performance management or similar large-scale talent processes.

Demonstrated expertise in designing and evolving performance management strategies and frameworks.

Ability to connect performance management to the broader talent lifecycle, including development, succession, and planning.

Strong consulting and relationship-building skills with senior leaders and HRBPs.

Strategic problem-solving abilities, balancing innovation with practical solutions.

Familiarity with technology’s role in enhancing the employee and manager experience, especially HR platforms like Workday and AI-driven tools.

Experience in technology testing, internal communications, and knowledge management.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
