Senior Production Planner

Job Title: Production Planner

Job Description

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for managing the development, modification, and implementation of compounding and filling schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. You will develop and modify production schedules and coordinate all related support activities through the manufacturing, testing, and approval processes. This role includes owning the reporting of weekly and monthly On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) metrics for the site and top customers, as well as developing, driving, and communicating shipping plans to meet site goals.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in daily production meetings and represent planning in customer meetings.Identify risks to on-time delivery, implement countermeasures, and communicate/escalate risks to leadership.Resolve conflicting priorities and manufacturing problems that may impact timely product delivery.Work with production to assign resources by day and shift.Monitor, record, and report on the status of production activities.Lead root cause analysis of wins and losses.Participate in or lead continuous improvement events such as Gemba, Kaizen, and 5S.Provide analysis to identify constraints and support long-term capacity planning.Perform other activities as assigned.

Essential Skills

At least 3 years of experience in managing production schedules.Experience with planning for multiple shifts and lines (2 shifts, 10-15 lines).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Experience in the Beauty/Personal Care Industry or a similar field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Macola, WiSys, and MS Office.Ability to work independently and influence others positively.Capability to form and lead cross-functional teams.Strong interaction skills with all levels in a matrix organization.Well-developed oral and written communication, analytical, and math skills.Managerial courage.Project management skills.

Work Environment

This role requires on-site presence with a business casual attire dress code. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
